Christin J. Kim
Christin Kim is a member of Venable's Labor and Employment group. Her practice focus is on a wide range of labor and employment and litigation matters affecting clients from such varied industries as entertainment, healthcare, consumer products, real estate, insurance, construction and retail.
Ms. Kim also defends employers against allegations of federal, state and local equal employment opportunity, reasonable accommodation, leave, and wage and hour law violations.

Ms. Kim is an active member of the Associate Advisory Board for the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles.
Significant Matters
- Successfully defended a national landscape design and construction company in a wage and hour class action lawsuit.
- Effectively negotiated with the Department of Fair Employment and Housing concerning a construction company's employee classification matter.
- Represented an automotive service company in a wage and hour class action lawsuit.
- Represented a nutritional supplement company in a breach of contract dispute.
- Defended a leading health care institution against a claim of breach of contract, wrongful termination and denial of benefits under the American with Disabilities Act and California Family Rights Act.
- Provided counsel to a national insurance agency on Family and Medical Leave Act and Paid Family Leave matters.
- Resolved a betterment commission dispute involving a Los Angeles-based talent agency.
Activities
Ms. Kim is actively involved in the Korean American Bar Association's legal clinic, Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles. Providing legal services to those who cannot afford them, she conducts contract review, handles small claims, manages landlord/tenant disputes and counsels clients on issues concerning small businesses. Ms. Kim also participates in the UCLA School of Law's Mentor Program and Mock Interview Program.
