Africa's boom in mobile over the last seven years has demonstrated a genuine continent-wide demand for basic access. But what will be Africa's future platform of choice for broadband Internet access? In countries like Japan, the fixed Internet is being left rapidly behind by mobile -- with handsets offering everything from web browsing to TV. This session debates whether mobile will be Africa's broadband platform of choice and discusses some of the technical, business and regulatory challenges ahead.
