Jennifer L. Nassiri
Of Counsel

Jennifer Nassiri's practice includes the representation of secured and unsecured creditors, creditors' committees and equity interests in various stages of Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings. Her experience with all types of insolvency matters includes every facet of Chapter 11 and 7 proceedings, such as relief from stay, 363 sales, and assumption and rejection of executory contracts. Her experience also includes the prosecution and defense of fraudulent and preferential transfer actions.

Representative Clients

Nassiri's representative clients include creditors' committees, Chapter 11 debtors, lenders, property owners, creditors and Chapter 7 trustees. She has represented commercial property owners in large retail bankruptcies and out of court lease restructurings as well as borrowers restructuring distressed debt obligations.

Significant Matters

Among her recent work, Nassiri represented a significant trade creditor in the bankruptcy of a major automaker, represented a large landlord in the bankruptcy of a brand name retailer, and advised a national franchisor in the bankruptcy of one of its franchisees.

Activities

Nassiri has also been active in her community - she volunteered for the Kids in Court program, whose goal is to provide community youth access to the courts so that they may experience and express how the legal systems upholds the concepts of liberty, equality and justice.
