Mr. Klass is a staff attorney in Venable's Trademarks, Copyrights, and Domain Names practice group. His practice includes the clearance, registration and enforcement of brand names; complex licensing matters; intellectual property contracts and intellectual property aspects of corporate transactions. Mr. Klass also represents clients in trademark opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.

Mr. Klass advises domestic and international clients in a such diverse fields as consumer electronics, pharmaceuticals, consumer products, media and publishing and restaurant services, as well as a variety of associations and nonprofits.

Prior to joining Venable, Mr. Klass was an associate in a well-known IP boutique law firm. He also served as in-house counsel to a Fortune 500 American multinational corporation that manufactures and distributes consumer products around the globe, where he protected some of the best-known beauty care and household care brands. Before entering the private sector, Mr. Klass practiced as a Trademark Examining Attorney at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
