Maura Marcheski is an associate with Venable’s Regulatory Group. Ms. Marcheski assists clients on a variety of regulatory compliance matters before the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Federal Communications Commission (FCC).  She also has experience counseling companies on export controls regulated by the U.S. Departments of Commerce, Agriculture, State and Treasury.  Ms. Marcheski advises clients on legislation and rulemaking proceedings that impact a broad range of industries.

While earning her law degree, Ms. Marcheski served as a legal intern at The International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia in The Hague, The Netherlands. She also completed a judicial internship with the Honorable Paul A. Crotty, United States District Court, Southern District of New York. In addition, Ms. Marcheski worked in Kathmandu, Nepal where she assisted with proposals for state restructuring in the Interim Legislature.

Before attending law school, Ms. Marcheski was awarded a grant though the French Ministry of Education to teach in La Rochelle, France. She also worked as a French teacher in New York City.
