Venable partner Michael Gollin’s book Driving Innovation was reviewed by Barry J. Marenberg, a practicing patent attorney, in the most recent edition of the Journal of Commercial Biotechnology. The Journal is an international peer-reviewed, professional journal focused on the commercial, legal and regulatory issues affecting biotech, biopharmaceutical, agrochemical and environmental companies.

In his review, Marenberg credits Gollin with artfully presenting a wide range of general and IP management strategies and plans as well as practical management strategies for each type of IP asset, calling Driving Innovation “…one of the most informative and easy-to-read books that I have read.”

Despite the inherent complexity of intellectual property law, Marenberg writes that “law and business students will easily be able to grasp the concepts in this book,” and that “any IP professional, or any corporate executive, [will] benefit from this book and…want to keep it within easy reach of his or her desk.”
