Michaela F. Roberts
Michaela Roberts is a member of the Product Liability and Mass Torts Practice Group. Her practice consists primarily of representing both branded and generic pharmaceutical manufacturer defendants. She has also represented defendants in arbitration and commercial litigation matters.
For over 10 years, Ms. Roberts has been involved in multiple national representations involving vaccines and drug products. Her experience in these litigations has ranged from preparing her clients for litigation at the initial stages to matter resolution. In addition, she has extensive experience advising clients on matters related to electronically stored information (ESI), including advising clients on collection and maintenance of ESI, developing and implementing ESI collection protocols, designing and using databases for the management, analysis, and production of documents, and supervising and managing the collection, review, and production of both hard copy and ESI in matters of varying sizes.
Representative Matters
In recent years, Ms. Roberts has provided litigation-related services as described above in multiple nationwide litigations, including litigations involving vaccines, cholesterol-reducing drugs, pain medications and anti-thrombolytic medications. Ms. Roberts has also provided these services in the commercial litigation context.
Activities
Drawing on her experience in the ESI arena, Ms. Roberts is a member of Venable’s E-Discovery Task Force.
