Rick Joyce is speaking on a panel moderated by Ralph Sharpe at the American Banker's Association Annual Conference in Orlando, Florida on June 7, 2009. The panel will discuss "Mobile Banking: Opportunity or Liability?".

Description: In this session, the panel will drill down and focus on one product (mobile banking) and outline the specific processes needed to implement this product. Included on the panel will be an attorney with experience in telecommunications law, a vendor offering the product, and a banker that has already implemented mobile banking. They will present this information as a case study and will:
  • Review the risks and opportunities of this new product;
  • Explore the unique security, privacy, network infrastructure and authentication issues in mobile banking;
  • Examine the disclosures, notices and other documents needed to implement the project;
  • Strategize on how financial institutions of all sizes can safely and cost-effectively participate in the delivery of this product to customers.
