Noah B. Steinsapir
Noah Steinsapir represents public and private sector clients in a wide variety of labor and employment and litigation matters. He has handled various litigation matters in state and federal courts, including appeals in both the California Courts of Appeal and the United States Courts of Appeals.
Mr. Steinsapir has significant experience in employment and consumer class actions. He has played a pivotal role in various wage and hour cases where defendants successfully opposed certification, compelled entire actions to arbitration, obtained favorable settlements at the onset of litigation and achieved other favorable results for his clients in this arena.
Mr. Steinsapir's individual action experience includes harassment claims; discrimination and retaliation lawsuits; restrictive covenant; unfair competition and trade secret actions; breach of contract matters; wage and hour actions; wrongful termination claims; intentional infliction of emotional distress; invasion of privacy; defamation; false light; and abuse of process.
Some of Mr. Steinsapir's more recent successes include obtaining a dismissal of a nationwide class action alleging that a health insurance company failed to properly reimburse for services provided at the pleading stage; reducing the class size and potential liability through an opposition to a motion to amend in a consumer class action; defeating class certification in an action alleging misclassification under the California Labor Code; defeating the vast majority of plaintiff's causes of action through summary adjudication in an individual wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination and breach of contract case; and negotiating a class settlement in a wage and hour action for a fraction of probable liability prior to engaging in a substantial amount of costly litigation.
