Venable Rob Burton was quoted in a February 1, 2012 Washington Technology article on the impact budget cuts will have on federal contractors. In the coming year, government agencies are expected to identify contract bids that meet the minimal requirements at the cheapest price in an effort to save money.

Commenting on the new trend, Burton said, “Budget constraints make price more important than ever before.” Burton added that federal agencies would have a hard time justifying why they selected more expensive bids.
