To this end, Venable is dedicated to environmentally responsible operations and practices that help us conserve energy, water and natural resources. 

We have made a substantial commitment to operate a more sustainable enterprise. Our goal of "reducing, reusing and recycling" is reflected in our daily activities. Each of Venable's offices maintains a number of programs designed to recycle much of the daily consumables such as paper, aluminum, plastic, glass and cardboard.  The firm uses legal pads manufactured from recycled materials and recycles its printer and toner cartridges. Practices such as video conferencing, electronic routing of faxes and scans, and the e-transmission of filings and accounting reports further reduce the firm's ecological footprint.

Still, we recognize that true sustainability requires more than simply recycling what has already been used – it also demands conservation. Accordingly, we have installed energy-efficient lighting in nearly all of our offices and have dramatically reduced our use of bottled water. When upgrading our electronics and appliances, Venable purchases Energy Star-qualified products to reduce power consumption.

Venable recognizes that yesterday's business practices are incompatible with today's realities. Through awareness and action, we are proudly working to create a sustainable environment – not simply inside the walls of our offices, but throughout each of the communities in which we live and work.
