Michael Gollin spoke in a U.S. Department of State Foreign Service Institute workshop held at the USPTO on "Keeping the System in Balance: Exclusion and Access." He discussed the intellectual property system and innovation cycle, based on his book Driving Innovation. In addition, he discussed the pro bono work of Public Interest Intellectual Property Advisors (PIIPA) and the organization's approach to IP and innovation in developing countries.
