Bloomberg BNA's Family Law Report cites Katie Wright’s amicus brief in de facto parent status ruling

A July 12, 2016 article in Bloomberg BNA's Family Law Report cited an amicus brief by Venable associate Katie Wright and American University Washington College of Law Professor Nancy Polikoff in a case involving de facto parenthood. Earlier this month, the Maryland Court of Appeals held that de facto parenthood is a viable means for an individual to establish standing when seeking custody or visitation rights of a child whose legal parent encouraged the individual to seek a parent-like relationship with the child.
