On Tuesday, June 3, 2014, Ashley Short presented “Generational Wealth Transfer Planning: What Every Nonprofit Needs to Know” at the 2014 Nonprofit Empowerment Summit hosted by Raffa, PC and co-sponsored by Venable LLP.

Recent changes in the federal tax code and the current low interest rate environment are affecting how wealthy individuals are structuring their family and charitable legacies. In this session, we will discuss some of the cutting-edge techniques that wealthy families are using, how nonprofits can harness and take full advantage of those techniques, and some of the legal issues that all nonprofits should be aware of when working with wealthy donors.

The Nonprofit Executive Empowerment Summit is designed to strengthen the sector and lift up conversations aimed at effecting positive outcomes for the nonprofit community.
