Law360 interviews Doug Siegler about his move to Venable

This week, Venable announced that it has added a new team to its nationally renowned wealth management practice: prominent private wealth and tax attorney Doug Siegler, who joins the firm as a partner in Washington, DC; counsel Carolyn Vinson; and associate Emily Plocki. An American College of Trust and Estate Counsel Fellow, Siegler represents individuals and families in sophisticated estate planning and administration and multigenerational transfers of wealth, including income, estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax planning. He advises clients on wills, trust agreements, insurance, and charitable giving programs, as well as tax and business succession planning advice to owners of closely held businesses.

Discussing his move with Law360 in a March 24, 2016 article, Siegler said it "made a lot of sense for me and for Venable and for my practice. The practice here is much broader — it's a broader variety of clients and a larger group." He added, "Venable's client base includes owners of closely held businesses and their families, who require highly attentive service and a diverse suite of legal offerings. I’m certain my practice — and, above all, my clients — will thrive under the Venable banner."
