This event has already occurred.
Caryn Pass will present during the Partnership for Excellence in Jewish Education's (PEJE) Financial Management Community of Practice Call: "Rightsizing: Responding to the New Economic Trends." As schools plan for the financial challenges ahead in a challenging economy, it is essential to consider all options, examine every angle, and find strategies that offer maximum flexibility. In preparing contingency plans and worst-case budget scenarios, heads, trustees, and business officers might consider modifying school policies and contracts, including faculty contracts, enrollment documents, admission applications, financial aid policies, student and employment handbooks, and food-service and other contracts. During this timely conference call Ms. Pass identify possible changes to these school policies and contracts; discuss early retirement plans, lay-off plans, and severance agreements; and review options for amending health insurance and other benefit plans.
