76 attorneys and 29 practice group rankings at state and national level


Washington, DC – May 19, 2015 – Today, Chambers USA released its annual list of law firm and attorney rankings in the United States. This year, a record tying 76 Venable attorneys and 29 practice groups were ranked at the state and national level. This is Chambers USA's thirteenth annual survey covering America's leading attorneys identified as the best in their fields by their peers and clients.

For the second consecutive year, partner James J. Hanks, Jr. was named a Star Individual for Nationwide REITs: Maryland Counsel, Chambers’ highest ranking indicating exceptional recommendations. Mr. Hanks is the only attorney in the country to receive such a ranking in this category.

Among other highlights in this year's rankings were 10 attorneys – Jennifer J. Bruton, Gregory A. Cross, Alan J. Epstein, Patrick W. Lincoln, Elizabeth K. Lowe, Jennifer L. Nassiri, Keith C. Owens, Janet F. Satterthwaite, Lisa A. Tavares and Richard L. Wasserman – ranked for the first time by Chambers USA. Five attorneys – Steven A. Adducci, Nora E. Garrote, Robert G. GottliebCharles J. Morton, Jr. and Paul F. Strain – saw their rankings improve compared to last year.
