By unanimous consent, the Senate has approved Venable Partner Robert Wilkins' judicial nomination to the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
Wilkins has been a Venable partner since 2002. From 1990 to 2002, he worked for the D.C. Public Defender Service. He was recognized as one of "90 Greatest Washington Lawyers of the Last 30 years" by Legal Times, and one of the "40 under 40 most successful young litigators in America" by the National Law Journal. In addition, Washingtonian magazine named him one of the city's top criminal defense lawyers.
