On June 13, 2013, Venable partner Steve Schwarz assumed the role of Chair of the Patent, Trademark and Copyright Section of the Bar Association of the District of Columbia.
Steve also hosted the Patent, Trademark and Copyright Section’s annual luncheon, which featured keynote speakers Teresa Rea, Acting Director of the USPTO, and James Smith, Chief Judge of the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. Several other judges and USPTO officials attended the event, which was co-sponsored by Venable.
