"The Informed Consumer: Putting Students First," Association of Private Sector Colleges and Universities (APSCU) Symposium 2011

This event has already occurred.
On July 21, 2011, a new government agency, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) came into existence and since then has been rapidly launching initiatives to regulate and curb perceived consumer protection issues.  Jonathan L. Pompan, as a co-panelist, will provide insight on the latest developments at the CFPB and its initiatives in the area of student loans, including its “Know Before You Owe Student Loans” Campaign.  The CFPB has launched several student loan initiatives, along with the Department of Education, that will re-shape the student loans and impact affect students, lenders, and institutions.
