1 min

Venable hosted a program on Mandatory Inclusionary Housing in New York on April 4. Venable real estate counsel Daniel Bernstein was a panelist, and Susan Golden, real estate and land use partner, moderated the discussion.

In its article published the same day, "Here's how developers move affordable units out of condos under MIH," The Real Deal reviewed the panel's discussion on the impact of MIH for condo developers and the off-site option under the program. The panel also discussed the status of the 421-a tax abatement, which the panelists said is expected to be restored or replaced this year.

Bernstein's co-panelists were Anita Laremont, General Counsel, NYC Department of City Planning, and Spencer Orkus, development director at L+M Development Partners.
