New York, NY (November 20, 2017) – The Venable Foundation, Inc., the philanthropic arm of the law firm Venable LLP, is pleased to announce it has awarded an impact grant of $150,000 to benefit The Legal Aid Society – New York to support its Homeless Rights Project, which helps to improve access to shelter for low-income New Yorkers.
Matthew T. McLaughlin, partner-in-charge of Venable LLP's New York office, added, "Homelessness is a serious issue in New York City, and it becomes even more crucial to find shelter for the needy during the winter months, which are approaching.
