Washington, D.C.  9/06/01 --- Gregory F. Jenner joined Venable as a partner in the firm's Tax and Legislative and Regulatory groups, the firm announced today.

Mr. Jenner is a former partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers' national office where he was the national office leader for InfoComm.

In recent months, Venable's Legislative and Regulatory Group has seen a number of high profile additions, including former U.S. Senator Birch Bayh, former Assistant House Majority Whip James E. Rogan, top Democratic fundraiser Thomas H. Quinn, senior Republican official Patrick E. O'Donnell, and two attorneys nationally recognized for their experience in communications and regulatory affairs - William P. Cook and Julian L. Shepard.

"Greg Jenner possesses extensive experience in representing clients in hearings before Congress, the U.S. Treasury, and the Internal Revenue Service, and was the first person in PwC's National Office to focus solely on the InfoComm industry," says Venable Managing Partner James L. Shea. "His addition solidifies Venable's stature as one of the leading law firms in Washington."

Prior to the 1998 PriceWaterhouse - Coopers & Lybrand merger, Mr. Jenner was Coopers' National Director of Tax Policy, managing a seven-person tax policy operation. Before his service at Treasury, Mr. Jenner was Tax Counsel for the Senate Finance Committee. There, he participated in formulating and drafting several major tax bills, including the Tax Reform Act of 1986.
