Venable Kicks Off 2001 Bioscience Seminar Series

Washington, D.C., January 9, 2001 -- Venable continues its highly rated new bioscience seminar series with "Raising Capital for the Bioscience Company" on February 7 at the Pooks Hill Marriott, Bethesda.

The program features discussions on preparing the bioscience company for institutional investors, structuring venture capital transactions, follow on financing transactions, and exit strategies for the bioscience company.  Panelists include Scott Cousino of Legg Mason, Rene Salas of Ernst & Young, William Snider of Emerging Technology Partners, and Venable's Michael Schlesinger.

Suggested audience for the series includes: CEOs, COOs, CFOs, CSOs, general counsel, research directors, investors and business development and technology professionals.

Additionally, the following seminars have been scheduled:
