Venable Partner Ron Glancz to Chair Inaugural Bloomberg BNA Banking Report Advisory Board

Board to provide guidance and feedback for Bloomberg BNA publications and direction for new products


Washington, DC (April 9, 2014) – Bloomberg BNA has announced the formation of the Bloomberg BNA Banking Report Advisory Board with Venable LLP partner Ronald R. Glancz serving as chair. The board will provide guidance and feedback for Bloomberg BNA’s Banking Report and Banking Daily publications and direction for new products. Its members include attorneys from some of the top law firms in the country and banking regulators.

"I am very excited to serve on the Advisory Board and to be a part of the next phase of growth and development for Bloomberg BNA's banking law publications and resources."

Chair of Venable's Financial Services Group, Mr. Glancz has been recognized for leadership in banking law by both The Best Lawyers in America and Chambers USA. He focuses on bank and thrift regulation, including the Dodd-Frank Act, supervision and enforcement, mergers and acquisitions, new financial products and services, corporate governance, FDIC issues, and Bank Secrecy Act compliance. He also advises clients on matters before the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). Prior to joining Venable, Mr. Glancz served as assistant general counsel and acting deputy general counsel of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, where he also served on the U.S. Attorney General's Bank Fraud Enforcement Working Group. Mr. Glancz was also director of the Litigation Division, Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and served as an assistant director, Civil Division, Department of Justice, where he represented the Federal Reserve, OCC, and FDIC in many of the leading banking cases.
