Venable Represents Leading Internet Security Provider SafeNet, Inc. in $84 Million Public Offering

Baltimore, MD -- Venable client SafeNet, Inc. (SFNT), a provider of hardware and software network security products and services, closed a public offering of its shares for approximately $84 million on July 15, 2003. The offering was underwritten by CSFB, Lehman, Raymond James, Pacific Growth and Janney Montgomery Scott. The Venable team representing SafeNet in the offering included Elizabeth Hughes, Tom France, Hope Adams, and Ralph Albrecht, with assistance from Bob McCarthy, Alan Yarbro, and Tom Cooper.

Venable represented SafeNet, Inc. earlier this year in its acquisitions of Cylink Corporation and Raqia Networks, Inc.
