McLean, Virginia, November 26, 2001 --- Venable was named the Pro Bono Law Firm of the Year in a unanimous decision by the Fairfax Bar Association. The award will be presented at a Fairfax Bar Association dinner in Falls Church, Virginia on November 29. The award was granted jointly to Venable and Brandt, Jennings, Roberts, Davis & Snee, PLLC.
Venable was recognized for a number of pro bono projects in Fairfax County, including partnering with the Cedar Ridge Community Center in support of the Fairfax Bar Association's Neighborhood Outreach Program. Venable lawyers traveled to various county sites, including homeless shelters, family resource and community centers, providing free legal advice and referral information to those unable to pay for these services.
