Washington, DC (February 9, 2017) – Venable LLP is pleased to confirm that two of its attorneys from the Legislative and Government Affairs Practice joined the Trump administration. Andrew Olmem has joined the White House National Economic Council as a Deputy to the Director of the National Economic Council Gary Cohn and Special Assistant to the President for Financial Policy. Daris Meeks was named Deputy Assistant to the President and the Director of Domestic Policy for Vice President Mike Pence. Meeks previously worked for Vice President Pence when he chaired the House Republican Conference. In addition to those two federal positions, Kevin Turner was named Chief of Staff to Sen. Luther Strange (R-AL).
