At the 79th Annual Meeting of the Virginia State Bar, the VSB Council, the governing body of the Virginia State Bar, passed a resolution recognizing Venable for its contribution along with the service of Michael W. Robinson as the 78th President of the Virginia State Bar. Council also passed a separate resolution honoring Mr. Robinson. The Council resolution for Venable read:
WHEREAS, Michael W. Robinson, a partner at Venable LLP, has diligently served as President of the Virginia State Bar during the 2016-17 Bar year; and
WHEREAS the staff of Venable LLP has given its time, support, and substantial resources to enable Michael W. Robinson the opportunity to serve as President of the Virginia State Bar;
NOW, therefore, be it resolved this 15th day of June 2017, that the Council of the Virginia State Bar is pleased to recognize the service and contributions made by members of Venable LLP to the work of the bar and offer its expression of abiding gratitude to the firm and president Robinson.
