Since joining Venable, multiple publications have featured their arrival including the February 12, 2012 issue of the Washington Post, the February 10, 2012 issues of Law360, AmLaw Daily, and Communications Daily, and the February 9, 2012 edition of The Blog of Legal Times.

Speaking with Law360, Mudge said Shaheen had been a mentor to her saying, “Randy taught me everything I know about advertising law…He took me under his wing when I was a very junior associate.” Commenting on why they chose to come to Venable, Mudge said, “The biggest driver was the platform,” emphasizing the importance of Venable FTC experience and advertising practice depth. She added, “We hope to provide one-stop shopping.” Commenting on the move to Venable, Shaheen said, “There's a greater critical mass of people that focus in our practice area.” Shaheen also said Venable does great work in “areas that are complementary to our work.”

In an interview with The Blog of Legal Times, Shaheen part of the decision to come to Venable was size of the firm’s advertising practice saying “clients could be better served by a leading advertising practice.” Commenting on their blog, Mudge said, “I’m hoping you will see more regular blogging on a greater diversity of topics.”
