Admiral Barnett told FOX News that the breach of U.S. military intelligence "endangers U.S. missions and U.S. troops"

Venable partner and retired Navy Rear Admiral Jamie Barnett was interviewed by FOX News on the May 28 edition of Studio B with Shepherd Smith about a report that Chinese hackers gained access to the designs of over two dozen US military weapons. The hacked designs include the PATRIOT missile defense system, the F/A-18 fighter jet, the V-22 Osprey, and the Black Hawk helicopter.

Commenting on news of the hacked systems, Admiral Barnett said it was “absolutely unprecedented” and “appalling,” adding that “It endangers U.S. missions and it endangers U.S. troops.” Admiral Barnett said we have to a better job protecting our military designs because hackers are still getting through our cybersecurity defenses. Aside from a diplomatic approach, Admiral Barnett advised better cybersecurity protections for the defense industry.
