article on potential incentives for a voluntary corporate cybersecurity program. The potential incentives, proposed by the White House earlier this week, which may be used to convince critical infrastructure program to join the program include cybersecurity insurance, reduced tort liability, easier access to federal grants and technical assistance, public recognition, and utility rate adjustments.
“I think it's a great start,” Admiral Barnett said. However, he added that the White House should also “consider tax incentives, as well as its constraints on liability limitation without legislation.
