Venable partner Michele Mulrooney
was quoted in the November 2013 issue of Palm Springs Life
on charitable giving by high-net-worth individuals. Mulrooney offered advice on the best options to help celebrities and well-known corporate executives avoid having their tax information made public.
“We look at giving during your lifetime because of the income tax deduction, and then those assets are eliminated from your estate,” Mulrooney said. She directs clients to community foundations because donor tax information is kept private instead of family or personal foundations.
