This week, Venable announced the addition of commercial litigator Angel Garganta as partner in the firm’s San Francisco office. A nationally recognized authority on food, beverage, and supplement litigation, and consumer protection laws, Garganta’s practice has a strong focus on advertising law. He represents a variety of businesses, including manufacturers and service companies nationally and internationally in a broad range of unfair business practice/consumer class actions and complex commercial disputes. Commenting on his move to Venable, Garganta said, “my kinds of cases are more of a central focus for Venable,” plus it was opportunity to help build out an office. “If you look at the firm, you'll see a huge focus on advertising law and consumer privacy. They also have a very strong FTC consumer practice. All of that ties in well with the type of consumer protection class action cases I defend,” he added. “I'm also interested in expanding my financial services practice.”
