Venable partner Jamie Barnett was quoted in an April 28, 2015 TechNewsWorld article on new revelations in last year’s breach of the unclassified White House computer systems. While no classified the systems were breached, it is believed hackers working for the Russian government accessed sensitive emails on schedules, email exchanges with State Department officials, and discussions of personnel moves, legislation and policy.
"The fact that they could read the president's email means they were on the network," said Barnett. "What hasn't been said is what else might have been compromised. We just don't know, and I doubt that we're going to find out."
