Venable partner Ed Wilson was quoted in a January 20, 2016 Los Angeles Times article on the lifting of nuclear-related sanctions against Iran. Despite the lifting of sanctions, most U.S. businesses and individuals are still bound by a 1995 trade embargo from engaging in dealings with the country and its government.
According to Wilson, any economic benefits to dealing with Iran will largely be divided between European and Asian businesses and investors. "People seem to think the world has now changed," Wilson added. "It hasn't."
