Baltimore, MD – May 17, 2016 – Venable counsel Frederick W.H. Carter has been elected to serve as an at-large member of the Maryland Bankruptcy Bar Association’s Board of Directors for the 2016-2017 term.
A member of Venable's Bankruptcy and Creditors' rights group since 2000, Mr. Carter concentrates on representation of creditors, debtors, creditors' committees, asset purchasers and trustees in all aspects of business reorganization and business liquidation. His clients have included CMBS special servicers, technology companies, a major international airport authority, energy trading companies, healthcare providers, Chapter 11 and 7 trustees and liquidating agents appointed under Chapter 11 plans. He has also represented plaintiffs and defendants in a wide variety of bankruptcy litigation in courts throughout the country.
Consisting of more than 240 members from Baltimore and Greenbelt, the Maryland Bankruptcy Bar Association is comprised of attorneys admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of Maryland with a practice heavily focused on bankruptcy law.
