Alan Epstein handles corporate transactions for companies and talent, with a specialty in tax law. The Century City-based attorney represented actor Ryan Reynolds for Mint Mobile, and advises PictureStart, founded by Erik Feig. A year ago, he represented executive Gary Barber in a business combination transaction with Lantern Entertainment to leverage Weinstein Co. assets in a relaunched Spyglass Media.
Alex Weingarten is a commercial trial lawyer who represents clients in all facets of entertainment, probate, and business litigation. Representing the adult children of the late Tom Petty, Alex worked out a settlement over control of the singer’s musical catalog with his clients’ stepmother. The litigator also represented Brooke Shields for her claims against retailers, Selena Gomez on IP matters, and music fest Woodstock 50.
