Judith Kim Receives 2022 Outstanding Young Nonprofit Lawyer Award from American Bar Association

Judith Kim, a counsel in Venable’s Nonprofit Organizations Group, was recognized as an Outstanding Young Lawyer by the Nonprofit Organizations Committee of the American Bar Association, Business Law Section. The Outstanding Young Lawyer category of the 2022 Outstanding Nonprofit Lawyer Awards honors distinguished service by an attorney in the nonprofit sector who is under the age of 35 or has been in practice less than 10 years.

Ms. Kim counsels tax-exempt organizations on their day-to-day and long-term business, corporate, tax, and governance matters. She assists clients on a regular basis in all aspects of the life cycle of a nonprofit organization, including formation, drafting charters and bylaws, obtaining tax exemptions, and addressing governance issues.

The mission of the Nonprofit Organizations Committee of the American Bar Association’s Business Law Section is to serve as a resource for nonprofit lawyers on issues affecting nonprofit organizations in a rapidly changing legal and regulatory environment and to monitor and update the Model Nonprofit Corporation Act.
