Alper Ertas advises clients in all aspects of intellectual property protection, enforcement, defense, and asset acquisition. He focuses on intellectual property disputes in federal court and before the U.S. International Trade Commission. He has significant experience litigating cases that involve complex technology, including standard-essential patent cases, where his engineering background is leveraged to strategically assess and present infringement, invalidity, and damage claims and defenses.

Alper's representations of universities and corporations span the biotechnology, consumer product, content distribution, fashion apparel, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, software, and telecommunications industries.

As a registered patent attorney, Alper advises corporations and joint defense teams regarding invalidity proceedings before the U.S. Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
