Amy L. Holtz

Amy Holtz is an associate in Venable's Corporate Practice in San Francisco. She is a 2017 graduate of the University of California Hastings College of the Law. While in law school, she was a summer associate at Venable LLP, where she worked on corporate documents; trademark related letters of protest and demand letters; and proposed civil jury instructions; and attended an expert witness deposition.

In 2015, Amy was a judicial extern for the Honorable A. James Robertson II of the Superior Court, San Francisco. In this capacity, she researched legal issues regarding complex civil litigation matters and drafted court orders, a statement of decision in a legal malpractice action, and recommendation memoranda evaluating class action settlement proposals.

As a member of Hastings Students for Immigrants' Rights, Santa Cruz, California, Amy served as a Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) legal clinic volunteer. She performed intake interviews and assisted student DACA applicants in drafting preliminary applications.

In the summer of 2013, Amy was a legal assistant at a law firm in Washington, DC, where she drafted and filed summonses, complaints, discovery documents, and a Notice of Removal to Federal Court. She also analyzed and documented more than 2,000 potential trial exhibits and observed court proceedings and depositions.
