Brian E. Extein is an associate in Venable's Baltimore office who focuses his practice on healthcare law. Mr. Extein represents a variety of health care clients including hospitals, continuing care retirement communities, ambulatory care facilities, medical device companies, and digital health companies. He advises clients on a range of federal and state healthcare regulatory and compliance issues including Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliance, Medicare and Medicaid regulation, healthcare fraud and abuse, and the Affordable Care Act.
Mr. Extein graduated with honors from the George Washington University Law School, where he served as an Articles Editor on the George Washington Law Review. He received a B.A. in History, cum laude, from Princeton University.
Before attending law school, Mr. Extein worked as a management consultant for a large global consulting firm.
