Ebony Thompson was featured in the Fall 2015 issue of Baltimore Law. The article highlights University of Baltimore School of Law alumni that are making a difference in Baltimore and highlights Ebony Thompson's personal contributions to the city.

When discussing one of her investments in the city, the purchase of property in the Hanlon Park/Garwyn Oaks area, Thompson said "I'm excited about Baltimore. If you're paying property taxes, you start caring about what goes on in your neighborhood. As people become more invested in the city, they have a stronger commitment to the community."

The article also highlights Thompson's work on the board of Stocks of the Future (which teaches financial literacy to middle school students in Baltimore), her work on the economic development committee of the Baltimore chapter of Delta Sigma Theta sorority and her work on the advisory board of the University of Baltimore School of Law's Fannie Angelos Program for Academic Excellence.
