Emily A. Unnasch is an associate in Venable's Government Contracts Practice in the Washington, DC office. She has represented government contractors in litigation of contract claims and bid protests before the Boards of Contract Appeals, the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, and the Government Accountability Office; represented a protester in a high-profile GAO bid protest involving a large procurement for aircraft logistics and engineering services; and assisted in negotiating a favorable settlement, including conversion of a default termination to a termination for convenience, for a prime contractor in a matter before the Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals.
Ms. Unnasch clerked for the Honorable Richard D. Dietz in the North Carolina Court of Appeals. She is a 2014 graduate of the Wake Forest University School of Law (cum laude), where she was an articles editor with the Wake Forest Law Review. While in law school, she served as a guardian ad litem, representing the interests of children in divorce and parental rights and responsibilities cases. Ms. Unnasch also regularly participates in pro bono activities.
