Gregory S. Berlin

Greg Berlin is an associate in the Environmental Practice in the San Francisco office. He represents clients on regulatory, compliance, and litigation issues arising under federal and state environmental laws, including the Endangered Species Act, Clean Air Act, Resource Conservation Recovery Act (RCRA), Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), and the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). Greg also performs environmental diligence in connection with the development, sale, and acquisition of commercial and residential properties.

Additionally, Greg has notable experience working on matters under California's Proposition 65. He has defended dozens of Proposition 65 private enforcement actions and routinely advises clients on Proposition 65 compliance, including "clear and reasonable" warning requirements, Safe Use Determinations, and product testing and reformulation.

During law school, Greg served as a Government Honors Law Clerk for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, a law clerk in the Natural Resources Section for the California Attorney General's Office, and a judicial extern to the Honorable Edward M. Chen of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
