On March 27, 2014, Damon Wright
served as a teacher and panelist for a CLE entitled “Obtaining and Admitting Electronic Evidence in Federal Courts: An Interactive Discussion With Trial-Like Demonstrations.” The CLE held in the courtroom of U.S. District Judge Gerald Bruce Lee (E.D.Va.) was sponsored by the Federal Litigation Section of the Federal Bar Association. Along with other panelists, Damon led discussion and trial-like demonstrations which addressed admissibility of multi-party email strings, text messages, social media site evidence (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.), and other electronic evidence, with special focus on sometimes challenging authentication and business records exception issues. With over fifty attendees, including members of the judiciary and litigators from around the country, the CLE was a great success.
