Jamie Barnett will present "The Challenge of Wireless Call Location" for the Virginia Chapter of the joint Association of Public Safety Communications Officers and the National Emergency Number Association (APCO/NENA) in Virginia Beach on May 15, 2014. One of the biggest challenges emergency responders face is accurately locating 911 calls from wireless phones. Barnett, who heads the Find Me 911 Coalition – a group of public safety professionals dedicated to improving emergency response –, will join a panel to discuss the issues surrounding location tracking amid the FCC’s search for a policy solution to the problem.
