"The Challenge of Wireless Call Location" for the Virginia Chapter of the joint Association of Public Safety Communications Officers and the National Emergency Number Association (APCO/NENA)

This event has already occurred.
Jamie Barnett will present "The Challenge of Wireless Call Location" for the Virginia Chapter of the joint Association of Public Safety Communications Officers and the National Emergency Number Association (APCO/NENA) in Virginia Beach on May 15, 2014. One of the biggest challenges emergency responders face is accurately locating 911 calls from wireless phones. Barnett, who heads the Find Me 911 Coalition – a group of public safety professionals dedicated to improving emergency response –, will join a panel to discuss the issues surrounding location tracking amid the FCC’s search for a policy solution to the problem.
