"Protecting Media IP from a Fractured Future that Echoes the Music Industry" for Digital Parliament

This event has already occurred.
London West Hollywood

This session discussed rights management and best practices to protect creators and publishers. YouTube has ContentID while Facebook and Dailymotion use Audible Magic; however, the Internet has yielded an environment plagued by freebooting and piracy. Furthermore, the layers of IP rights between the creator and the various supply chains are growing every day. It is important to establish a protection for content publishers that prevents the media industry from repeating the crippling systems of the music industry.
