Key Personnel

The Recipe for a Successful Bid-Protest Webinar Series

In the third segment of Venable’s four-part webinar series, please join us for a discussion with practitioners from our deep Government Contracts bench to discuss one of the more treacherous issues to arise in bid protests – those involving key personnel.  Protesters and intervenors alike are increasingly confronted with exclusion from consideration for a particular award based on a mere Internet search by the opposing party to confirm whether key personnel remain available and committed to the project at hand.

This presentation will discuss the circumstances in which key personnel issues arise, how to mitigate these risks, and when the substitution of an unavailable key person is merely a matter of contract administration rather than an issue within the purview of a post-award bid protest.  Our attorneys will also discuss key case law examples that discuss the viability of said protest grounds, both in the context of an initial protest pleading and at the agency report juncture and provide best practices to avoid key personnel pitfalls.
