Jessica Borowick

Jessica Borowick is an associate in Venable’s Regulatory Practice Group, where she focuses her practice on advertising, marketing, advertising compliance, entertainment, media, social media, sponsorships, intellectual property, and payment cards. Jessica assists clients of various types with the development and execution of advertising and marketing materials in all media, including drafting and advising on marketing and sponsorship agreements, reviewing advertising collateral, and structuring sweepstakes and contest promotions, particularly in the social media space.

A component of Jessica’s practice, advertising related to the Olympic and Paralympic Games, includes advising brands on compliance with the Ted Stevens Olympic and Amateur Sports Act, and the Olympic Charter.

Prior to joining Venable, Jessica advised banking clients on a variety of cross-border matters, including securities offerings and structured finance transactions. Jessica also worked in Government Affairs for the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.

During law school, Jessica focused a component of her extracurricular and externship activities on the Olympic and Paralympic Games. She interned for the London Organising Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, and performed on-the-ground brand protection enforcement during the 2012 Paralympic Games as an official London 2012 volunteer.

Jessica serves on the board of The Fund for Public Health in New York.
